About the event
The wood industry provides a keystone to the history, business, and culture of Northern Michigan. The Uniquely Wood exhibition at the Skyline Event Center, now in its second year, will again offer a showcase of our wood products and services, drawing a wide range of visitors interested in all things wood: tools, techniques, products, jobs, craft demonstrations, games, and much, much more! The weekend events will:
• Promote the wood industry of our area; tell the story of our people, our products and services, and opportunities for growth.
• Tell our story – expert craftsmen with wood products for sale, masters demonstrating skills and equipment, the benefits of good forestry practices to landowners and our local economy, and much more.
• Show the community a good time! We have plenty of fun for the whole family, and a great concert with Bob Bernard and his Waltz Posse on Saturday evening. Long ago, Bob founded Earthwork Music Collective in Lake City, and he continues to operate a sawmill there. He also plays a mean fiddle, and will put on a delightful show!Why should you sponsor?
