About the event

All around the world, football has become a very effective way to change someone’s life, particularly those who live in crisis as being homeless, addicted to drugs, or even living with HIV/AIDS.

Zimasa Football Club in partnership with Mziyanda Pawuli and  Khayelitsha Community will host Under 14 Soccer Tournament called Zimasa Friendship Cup in Khayelitsha. Our aim is to move these kids off the street, give children the opportunity to test their skills against teams from all over Khayelitsha Communities and also promote social cohesion among our soccer teams.

Zimasa Football Club and the community of Khayelitsha will continue to give every young person in Khayelitsha community an opportunity to play soccer and develop important characteristics that will help them through their young life and beyond. We are struggling in buying:-

Every gift, no matter the size, has a real impact on our ability to prevent youth being exploited, getting involved in drug use, vandalism, crime, and other negative situation. It also provides us the opportunity to let youth know they are valued, important members of society, reconnect them with community, and offer a caring person to listen to.

This prestigious tournament will be hosted on 6 May 2017 at Khayelitsha Stadium by Zimasa Football Club in partnership with Mziyanda Pawuli (Accredited SA Specialist - SA Tourism). We are looking at hosting more than 700 kids who come from different backgrounds.

Mziyanda Pawuli

I am a reservation consultant by proffesion who tirelesly use his time in promoting soccial cohesion in disadvantage communities through soccer. My aim is to move kids off the streets and give every child the opportunity to play soccer and with your help we can continue to create opportunities for each participant to this tournament.  Im helping youth to help themselves in future.
