In 2018 when Hlengiwe moved back to Durban , she was desperate and growing the need to give back to the community of which she thought it will be no use to teach people when she has no qualification but years of experience. That is when she went back to complete her Diploma in Office Management and Technology.

Hlengiwe has more than 15 years of Business Administration experience.

Prior to starting Eyomphakthi Foundation she always had a passion in fashion design and teaching old people, as a result in her high school years, she assisted her Aunt’s Husband in mathematic which landed him a better position at Toyota SA Prospection.

She also used to gather children in her area and teach them English and dancing, of which did not get anywhere as she was also still a child.

When she got married in 2014, she moved to Cape Town and worked for Square Kilometre Array. She then moved to  Port Elizabeth where she was introduced to a sewing school by her friend, and she grabbed the opportunity with both hands, it is where she  got her Entrepreneurship and Garment Construction Certificates.

Hlengiwe’s varied background in Business/Office Administration and NPO environment provided her a solid foundation in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Planning skills, Analytical skills, Leadership skills and Interpersonal Skills.
