UK Mega Essex 2015,

About the event

We are a geocaching committee that have won the bid to host the UK’s annual mega geocaching event within the Essex region in 2015.

Geocaching is a worldwide treasure hunting game, where adventure seekers locate hidden containers called Geocaches outdoors and then share their experiences online. It is a fast growing hobby within the UK, which actively promotes fitness, Healthy living, Outdoor Pursuits and family time over all age groups.

This event is to be held at various venues within Essex from Monday 27th July 2015 until Monday 3rd August 2015, with the main event day being held on Saturday 1st August 2015 attracting 1000s of geocachers during this time.

We will be holding 2 events daily, with the exception of Saturday 1st August 2015 as this is the main event itself and we are expecting over 3000 people of all age ranges on this day alone.

Each event will be extremely different, featuring different activities, walks, talks and fun for families and anyone of any age or ability and of course all events will have there own geocaching trails.

We have a launched a website at www.mega 2015.org.uk which is continually being updated and has already been seen by thousands of geocachers from the UK and Worldwide.

All the events we hold will be free to anyone that would like to attend, therefore raising funds is key to the success of this project. We are looking for sponsors that can support this project and want to be associated with an event that targets people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities, that promotes health, happiness, family time and fun.

We will work with our sponsors so they are able to maximise there advertising potential from day one and are involved at every stage that is beneficial to them, generating them a lasting name within the geocaching community from now and in the future.
