Introduction
Chaired by Colin Kerrigan, Executive Director of ISCA (International School of Creative Arts), UK Education Weekly is delighted to announce the 2016 Happy Easter, Creative Egg competition to all children between age 3-12 in the UK and China. The aim of this competition is to gather talented and creative kids from China and the UK to express their artistic impression on different impression of two cultures, under the event of Easter holiday.
Theme
Happy Easer, Creative Egg
The organizer is inviting children between 3-12 years old in China and in the UK for the competition. Participants will be divided into 2 groups (Kindergarten group and Primary group).
2-3 images of one egg work are needed.
Deadline of submission: All the work need to be submit by 7th March 2016.
Prizes for Winners
Top 8 paintings from Mainland China region and top 2 paintings from UK region will be selected.
· The winners will be award as “2016 Creative Artist” by UK Education Weekly. There will be official certificate for each winner.
· Gold winner’s work from each group will be produced as 1:5 art project, and send ISCA as Easter gift.
· All winners and their works will be published on all platforms of UK Education Weekly (Newspaper, Social media, Official Website etc).
Selection of Winners
Winners will be selected through a fair and impartial selection by the organisor, together with a group of artist, and vote by the public (social media followers etc).
Entry rules and condition:
1. Age Group: Children between the ages of 3-12 years old. Kindergarten Group (3-6 years old) and Primary Group (7-12 years old)
2. Egg painting requirement: Eggs can be printed and decorated by any kinds of materials, 2-3 photos (from different angle) of the egg need to be sent to the organising committee.
3. Name and contacts (In English or Mandarin only)
Fully name, age (day, month and year), Gender and full address including phone and email must be on the back of the painting, NOT on the painting.
4. Style of the paining
Free: crayons, coloured pencils, water-colours, etc.
5. Eligibility
a. Paintings that have been shown or accepted elsewhere will not be accepted in this competition.
b. Paintings that show a particular person, an organization or a brand name will not be accepted.
c. Photos of the egg work send to UK Education Weekly (info@ukeduweekly.com) or UK Education Weekly WeChat platform (ID: ukeduweekly) on or before 12:00am on 7th March 2016 (UK Time).
6. Number of Paintings accepted:
One egg work (2-3 photos) will be accepted from each participant.
7. Copyright: Please note that by entering the competition, you have assigned copyright of your painting to the organizers. Safe keeping of the painting: The painting will not be returned and will be used to raise environmental awareness through exhibitions, website, posters, publications etc. and to raise funds to further promote environmental activities by Children.
