About the event

We are pleased to announce that after the success of UHackathon 1.0, 2.0 & 3.0 School of Computer Science, UPES is back with the 4th edition of UPES’ s Flagship event UHackathon 4.0META to be held on 1st and 2nd September 2023.

UPES, accredited with NAAC grade ‘A’ and ranked among top 100 universities in India by NIRF invites competent teams from PAN India as well as International Universities from G20 nations and our associates.

UHackathon 4.0 META is an initiative in sync with the vision of UPES-University Of Tomorrow, towards providing a mega platform to the programming community, technophiles and techpreneurs to address the critical challenges of the industry and society by building innovative solutions in form of prototypes leveraging technologies under the umbrella of Metaverse.

This 24 hour coding marathon shall be inviting participants from G20 Nations, SAARC, ASEAN and our associate International Universities to come together and participate in developing solutions towards achieving UN SDG goals leveraging the emerging technologies and technologies of tomorrow i.e, Metaverse Technologies including AR (Augmented Reality), VR(Virtual Reality), Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Blockchain, Extended reality, 3D Modelling, Brain Computer Interface, Spatial / Edge computing.

The broader areas of UHackathon 4.0 are focused, but not limited to the fields of, Disaster Management, Environmental Sustainability, EdTech solutions, Blockchain, Consumer Tech, Healthcare & Biomedical Devices, Retail, Women Welfare, Smart Communication Systems, Agriculture & Rural Development, Food Technology, Smart Vehicles, Robotics & Drones, and AI systems.

UHackathon 1.0 was organized in May'19, which attracted student participation from 10 states of the country. The hackathon was unique in its concept to have problem statements from more than 20 esteemed organizations from government and private sectors. Participants also got the opportunities to get internships with associate organizations.

UHackathon 2.0 was held in February ‘2020. It was a big success whose grand finale witnessed the participation of more than 50 teams from 11 states of the country. Winners received prizes worth INR 1 lac. Three outstanding teams from the hackathon were chosen for the opportunity of participation in IEEE International Hackathon- YESIST, to be held in Malaysia in 2020. Few participants also got the opportunity of internships with industry associates.

UHackathon 3.0 was held on the 5th and 6th of August’22. The event witnesses participation from India as well as SAARC Nations. The event was applauded by the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji in his appreciation letter. Deserving teams got internships with associate organizations. Winners received prizes worth INR 1 lac.
