About the event
Udgam 2k17...It is the fourth chapter of the annual cultural fest of NIT Sikkim to be organised from 31st March 2017 to 2nd April 2017. The cultural fest was started back in the year 2014 by B.Tech 2012 batch students under the guidance of Dr. A.B. Samaddar, Director of NIT Sikkim, & the expertise of faculty members. The fest aims to induce the hidden expertise towards the surface and to instill confidence in the youth to showcase their talents through the various competitions & events to be organised during the fest. The two-day lasting fest will comprise of various day events and night fiesta. The day events incorporates various competitions ranging from physical strength competitions such as Tug of War to mind ones such as Sudoku and creativity checks such as face painting, etc. The night fiesta will be a complete package of 3Ds': Dance, Drum & Drama, comprising of events such as Fashion Show, War of Bands, dance and singing performances. Attractive prizes, including cash rewards and certificates, will be presented to the victorious students during the closing ceremony of Udgam 2k17.
