About the event

Our event is a Model of United Nations. As its name tells us, the event is a simulations of what goes on inside the different committes in the UN. Our MUN will unite students from several schools in Colombia where each one of them will represent a delegation inside a committte, where several global problematics will be address. Their role will be to expose their delegation's position towards a topic and try to find solutions with the rest of the delegates. This event will help students develope their research skills, making them step out of their comfort zone to introduce themselves into a new perspective. It will also help them develop their communication skills since they will be constantly manifesting their delegation's ideologies through oral speeches and will end up consolidating them into a single working paper at the end of each debate. Additionally, it will help them expand their social skills since they will need to work together with the rest of the delegates in order to be able to find a sucessful solution. The TVSMUNXVI is place were students have the possibility to be aware of what is going on at the international level and to understand how global figures approach worldwide situations. All this to create our global leaders of tomorrow.

Why should you sponsor?

TVSMUNXVI is organized by a small school in Bogotá, Colombia, so in order to have a great MUN we will need all the help possible to fulfill our objectives of creating the best academic experience, meanwhile also, having a safe and adequate environment for our students. It will also open a space to expand a brand's audience and engage to a more personal level with future costumers. We will be extremely happy to work together with our sponsors so we can both get the most out of the event.

Hi! I'm Laura and i'm the Academic Secretary and part of the directing board of TVSMUNXVI. I've been participating in Models of United Nations since I was 11 years old. I personally love it, which is why I have great motivation to work along with my partners in order to create the best event possible. This is an event that is not only coming from the directing board but also represents my school. My passion for MUN aswell as for my school would make me the necessary risks so that it can succed and mitigate all the possible problems that can occur in the process.
