About the event

I will be holding a presentation event to share with the public my top 10 tips on volunteering. Currently I have my own blog site known as 'Travelvolnz.blog' which allows me to share my experiences for volunteering for a total of 14 organisations throughout New Zealand with the public. By doing this I hope to inspire others to volunteer also as I believe that through volunteering we can both grow personally and help others grow in them. 

Why should you sponsor?

Through having a sponsor contribute towards my event, this will be extremely beneficial in the way that I would be able to share my message to a wider audience. As I feel that this society needs to know more about volunteering and how they can get involved with giving back to their communities, I am willing to put my time and effort into sharing this presentation. Also by having the assistance from sponsors, this would make the event a lot more successful as the audience would be more likely to take on board the message I am trying to give when I have sponsors backing me.

Tarryn Wilson

My name is Tarryn Wilson and I am 17 years old. I have been volunteering for almost 3 years now and I can easily say that I love every part of it. I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and currently study at Mairehau High School.

A value that I have always lived by is 'offering'. I feel that it is important that we as individuals are offering as much or as little when possible. Through offering we can help others and grow more positive morals within ourselves that have the potential to change this world for the better.

I love meeting new people and hearing about their story and what they have learnt growing up. I have this dream to inspire as many young people possible as I believe that since they're the next generation, it is our job to make them the best they can be.
