Trailblaze Challenge,

Blairsville, Georgia, United States Blairsville, Georgia, United States

  • About the event

The Trailblaze Challenge is a 28.3 mile hike where participants can tackle the terrain of the Foothills Trail, all in one amazing day! This is a hike, not a race, and caters to all levels from novice to advanced outdoor enthusiasts. As well as being an extraordinary physical test, the real challenge is to raise much needed funds to grant the wishes of children in central and western North Carolina with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy. By supporting the Trailblaze Challenge, you will help Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina grant more than 300 wishes this year.

    Why should you sponsor?

Carefree days spent laughing with friends and family are put on hold as boys and girls are catapulted in to a strange and unfamiliar world filled with great uncertainty. Over the organization's 30-year history, they have found that granting a wish is often the best medicine possible. It is a prescription that changes a child’s outlook on life and generates a smile for the first time in a long time.

I am a young professional working and living in Charlotte North Carolina as an environmental engineer. This event is exciting for me because Make-A-Wish is near and dear to my heart! They were the philanthropy for my sorority in college, and I attended and fundraised for 2 events each year that benefitted this fantastic organization! Please consider sponsoring me on this incredible journey!
