About the event

Please help our organization, STRENGTHIN, host the “THRIVE - Navigating Post-Secondary Education” Conference by sponsoring us! The conference is targeted towards all high school students and it will be held on March 12th, 2019. The purpose of this conference is for students to learn about the importance of education and mental health during their post-secondary experience. Through this conference, we will touch on subjects such as (1) university life (residency and social network), (2) academics (deciding major/minor/specialist programs, lectures, and myth debunking), (3) student life (clubs and associations), and (4) mental health at university (coping/self-care strategies and resources available to students). This year, we are featuring keynote speaker Dr. Andrea Levinson, who is the Psychiatrist-in-Chief at the University of Toronto, in our conference. StrengthIN UofT

StrengthIN empowers high school and middle school students by teaching them to take care of their mental health. We believe that by educating students, we will better equip them to deal with life stresses, without facing dire mental health consequences. We engage students through interactive workshops brought to them right in their classrooms, and through online content. Workshop topics include self care, coping skills, and academic stresses.
