About the event

The Youth Vote UK is the UK's newest social enterprise encouraging young people to participate in politics and have their voice heard.

The Question Time event will be a panel discussion with MPs and experts, who will answer the questions that matter to you.

Last year was a tumultuous year that saw youth apathy grow and young people become more and more alienated by those elected to represent us. And, yet, it is more important now than ever before to empower young people and let their voice be heard.

That is our aim - to enable young people to have their voices heard and provide a platform for young people to exercise their democratic freedoms.

In order to reinforce our mission, we are officially launching the Youth Vote UK with a Question Time event on 8th April 2021. We intend to focus the discussion around ‘Why You Should Vote’ and address current political decisions that impact the youth population.

The event will be a panel event allowing you and the other panelists to share your stories, experiences and passion for youth empowerment. There will be a Q&A from our audience which will allow you to directly address young people who may have never voted before.

The Youth Vote is an organisation devoted to increasing voter turnout amongst young people. Historically, those within the 18-24 age bracket vote in a lower proportion than all other age groups in the UK. 

Young people are the future of the UK by virtue of their youth. It's important that their opinions, whatever they are, are listened to and respected. The first step in this process is getting them into polling stations.

The Youth Vote UK organises events and campaigns across the UK dedicated to achieving this goal. Whether it's the general, Scottish, Welsh, or local elections, we're here to help increase the youth vote.
