About the event

The Throwdown National Wrestling Tour will be held in Orange City, Iowa, Marshall, Minnesota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  It is a series of three tournaments in three states that will be linked together for those who would like to gain recognition for the challenge of placing in all locations.  Orange City will start the tour on Dec. 17^th, then Marshall, MN will follow on Jan. 14^th and it will come to a strong finish in Sioux Falls on Feb. 4^th.  Our goal is to promote the sport of wrestling, bring economic growth in the tournament areas, encourage an active lifestyle and provide a fun, family activity for everyone to enjoy. 

This is the first year of the tour, but research has shown that other similar events have been very popular in this region of the United States.  We expect to reach 400+ wrestlers and their families at each event.  All tournaments will be held on college campuses rather than in high school gyms to create a one-of-a-kind experience for athletes and spectators.  We strive to produce an electric atmosphere that motivates competitors to perform at the top of their game and keeps fans on the edge of their seats.  The audience will be kept in specific boundaries during the tournament for an extended period of time.  This will allow our sponsors to have a captive audience to share their brand multiple times as spectators watch their wrestler(s) participate.
