  • About the event

    Our mission is to unite artists through charitable events that create and foster positive change in the community.

    We believe that by providing a diverse event space where each indivudal has the opportunity to offer their unique talents to the chosen mission, we can reach an impactful goal as one team. We believe in the power of many and our mission is to provide a place where personal niches are embraced to reach a common objective.

    Since our inception, hundreds of artists from all over the country have come together to create art which we sell to raise money for our cause via a silent, live, and Instagram auctions. We have raised $511,000 to help re-open The Belle Isle Aquarium and to provide art class cirriculum to students at Metro Detorit schools who lost art due to budget cuts via Art Road Nonprofit.

    Our festival boasts over 70 glass artsits from all over the country working live throughout the weekend, along with 50+ musical acts on three stages, 75 vendor booths, a visual arts gallery and live art area, two kids activity zones, a silent and live auction, food, & drink. The festival grounds are in a beatufully gritty 70,000 square foot insdustrail space in Detroit.

    The Michigan Glass Project brings together over 4000 atttendess each year who enjoy the festival and support the cause. Along with premier networking, branding, and activation opportunity, sponsors of our event can support knowing their money is helping to fund art class for over 2200 students in Metro Detroit who would not otherwise have art at their public school.

    Our event boasts a very special kind of energy as aritsts, sponsors, business owners, vendors, and attendess are all a part of a very special mission each year for one weekend in July - to give back art!!! 

    Each of our sponsorhsip levels is carefully crafted to bring sonsors a return on their marketing investment while being able to support a beautful cause.

    The Michigan Glass Project is a 501c3 nonprofit organizaion. Since our inception in 2012, we have held eight successful annual festivals and raised $511,000 via our fundraising efforts. $36,000 was raised to help re-open The Belle Isle Aquarium - a century old building hosuing North Americas oldest aquarium located on Detroits Belle Isle Park. $475,000 was donated to Art Road Nonprofit helping them on their mission to return art class cirriculum to public schools in Detroti and its Metro Area.
