About the event
Started from humble beginnings, behind the founder's tattoo shop, The HeART Of Summer arts and music festival, is a grass roots celebration, tucked in the crevices of Appalachia Kentucky. We began in 2013 showcasing some of the best local talent KY had to offer, featuring a small galla, and homegrown stage. Things have certainly grown since that first year, and The HeART Of Summer is well on it's way to being one of KY tourism's premiere destination spots for lover's of the arts. Featuring 2 days of music, performance and visual arts, and camping, The HeART Of Summer is sure to make a lasting impression on all those who attend. We pride ourselves on diversity in the music, art and entertainment we offer.

Garrett CarrollGarrett Carroll and Josh Mcglone are both local KY Entreprenuers. Garrett owns Think Tattoos in Olive Hill, KY and founded the festival in 2013, with a vision to create an arts movement in eastern KY. Josh founded HeadCase Clothing in 2013, and is also a local show promoter. Together they have been growing The HeART Of Summer to one of KY's most noteable summer festivals.
