About the event

Join local heritage site Fulham Palace and celebrate spring and all things green at green meet family-friendly event on Sunday 8 May. 

The green meet is a chance for the community to discover and celebrate the value of nature, ecology, biodiversity, and sustainability through a variety of activities for all ages. 

Browse the green market and discover eco-friendly options from stallholders and local businesses. Listen to keynote speakers discuss current topics on all things green in the talks tent. Explore nature and sustainability through tours and demonstrations. Enjoy live music after grabbing a bite to eat from a variety of delicious food options such as the Drawing room cafe or the food vendors. Younger children can enjoy craft activities, educational workshops, and family yoga. 

Why should you sponsor?

This is a free and inclusive event for all ages.  As a charity, we seek sponsorship to help defray the costs of organising such an event.  We seek to engage and educate the community about climate change through talks, tours, and workshops.

A bit more about us:

The former home of the Bishops of London since 704, Fulham Palace has been managed by Fulham Palace Trust since the last Bishop left in 2011.  

Over the years, the self-funded charity (no. 1140088) with its staff and many dedicated volunteers, has carefully renovated and rehabilitated the buildings and 13-acre botanic garden.  

The walled garden produces organic fruits, vegetables, and honey as well as having a knot garden, vinery, and grass lawns - something to see all year long.

Fulham Palace House & Garden is free to enter and hosts tours, educational activities and public fundraising events throughout the year.

My name is Anja Herman and I am the Event executive at Fulham Palace Trust.  I organise the larger-scale events at Fulham Palace House & Garden - The Green Meet, Apple Day, and the Christmas fair weekend.  Our venue is the former residence of the bishops of London and the trust must fundraise, including through events, to maintain the historic building and 13-acre site.  I really appreciate your consideration!
