The Foosball Experience,

St. Louis, Missouri, United States St. Louis, Missouri, United States

  • About the event

Welcome to the Foosball Experience hosted by "UFE" Universal Foosball Entertainment. The UFE team has been involved with foosball since the 1990s hosting many events. We have developed a new and exciting event. Traditional foosball events have focused on competition only. These events have been virtually unchanged since the 1970’s and slowly dwindling in players. Our new event focuses on people and fun with little to no competition. We have tested this event structure for the last few years and tweaked it with our current player base. There has been overwhelming positive responses from players.  We are now ready to push this event out to the general public to test the market with new players.

Our basic event plan is to start with marketing 60 days before the event through our social media channels and influencers that are tied to us. We will take pre registrations through our website and offer a limited amount of spaces for players. This event will have food, music, lighting, games, a professional host, photo opportunities, live streaming, prizes and much more. This is a true foosball experience not just a foosball tournament.

    Why should you sponsor?

To Summarize why you should invest: There is a market of at least 1,650,000 people aged 12-35 that play foosball and no one markets to them. This market will only grow with the correct marketing and advertisers. We have a plan and the people to make this a success.

Welcome to the ground floor of a new sports league. This is the beginning of a league that we plan to grow into something much bigger. You will be working with us on the final draft of our first event. We will work with  you to tailor this event to your product.

A little about us and why we are doing what we are doing. Our group has been involved with foosball since the 1990s. Over the years our group has noticed that competitive foosball has been slowly dwindling. We asked ourselves why and started studying the sport and people in general. What we found kinda amazed us.

We looked at table sales and saw that there is a 5% increase per year. So it isn’t that there are fewer tables.

We did some market research and found that 90% of the population knows what foosball is, 90% have played at some point in their lifetime, 75% would play again if their friends are playing, 0% knew there was competitive foosball, 0% cared to play in competitive foosball. Ok so we now know there is a huge portion of the population that knows what foosball is, have played and will play in a social setting. We also know that no one really knows or currently cares about competitive foosball. That is a big disconnect between competitive foosball, their player market and the reason competitive foosball is on the decline.

So next we talked to specialists in human behavior and asked them to study foosball. Their findings really shed some light on the current state of the game. This is only a portion of their findings, the current game structure only rewards the best players leaving little reason if any for other players to play or advance in the sport. The social structure also leads to little or no respect for the lesser player(s) until they quit or become equal to other players in the group. So  if new people show up they are not going to win anything and get treated badly. If they do stick around they might get treated better but still have little chance to win anything. This is not a recipe for success.

How many players are there actually? After a lot of hard work, digging into market research numbers, looking at different live sample sizes of similar events, table sales, and a few other metrics we have determined there are alot of non competitive players(At least 1,650,000).These players are 12-35 years old that organized foosball is not being marketed to in any way. These players will not play the current game structure or enjoy the current social structure.

It's time for change and the UFC has worked to develop a new event and structure. These events are specially designed with players and advertisers in mind. We want the foosball experience to be a fun and social event. It will break with the normal foosball tournament and be an actual event. New game structure that keeps players playing through most of the event.  Prizes spread across all players and guests. Interaction both on and off the table between players and guests regardless of skill. Special photo ops, off and on table entertainment, and professional hosting are a few of the changes.

We do not want players/Guests to feel like they are in a commercial. But we still want advertisers to get a Return on their investment. We offer multiple subtle ways to get an eye on your product. Title Sponsors, table sponsors, prize sponsors, sponsor hosts and much more.

How many players do we expect at our events? Currently we(UFE) will limit the event  attendance to 240 or less total attendees. For our first trial event we expect advertising will be seen by over 10,000 people. We are only targeting 60-120 players and 60-120 guests for a total of 120-240 attendees. We expect to book up quickly with limited spaces available for players. Being that this is our first event outside of our current player base we want to keep the attendance low to address any issues that may arise. Once we get the event streamlined we expect to advertise to reach around 30000 people and events with around 400-500 attendees on average.

UFC is a group of people that has been involved with foosball since the 1990’s. We have run thousands of events between us over the years and met many people. We came together trying to figure out why our sport is in decline and if there is anything we can do to fix it. Working together and using the resources that each individual had we discovered a lot of new information and devised a plan to promote to players that are not promoted to.
