About the event
Team Run 12 are a seven-piece collective who successfully completed twelve full marathons in 2014. Founder of Team Run 12, Rebecca Beard, took on all 12 of the 26.2 mile events, and covered over 3800 miles in training. Alongside a phenomenal level of mileage. Becky and her team have been closing in on their £25,000 fundraising target - raising funds in aid of Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK.
The marathons include the Virgin London Marathon and The New York City Marathon, with the final race taking place on December 21st in Portsmouth. The wet, windy course saw the team finish hand in hand.
Now, they are planning their celebrations for the end of January 2015. Team Run 12 are inviting businesses to sponsor the event, allowing them to donate more of the proceeds to their very worthy charities, and meet their incredible fundraising efforts.
The party will cater for around 200 people who will be registered for an ongoing mailing list.
Team Run 12 was initially a concept created to cover this one mammoth challenge but Becky is already in the process of planning for her 2015 and 2016 fundraising efforts. Currently the list includes - The 2015 Virgin London Marathon, The Long Course Weekend in Wales, The 100km Thames Path Run and a 52 mile walk in 23 hours.Why should you sponsor?
