About the event
"Glory in the Beat” is a non-profit organization that exists to engage and impact the culture using Christian Hip-Hop. Located in Akron, Ohio; we hope to bring a change to our community by addressing violence, racial healing and reconciliation, and spreading a message of hope, love, and peace. Our primary avenue of reaching people will be with a radio station. However, we will have a heavy presence in the communities with concerts, events, giveaway drives, and festivals.
Glory in the Beat will be hosting a FREE concert event at Grace Church's Montrose location. The concert will feature the 216 Movement out of Cleveland with a couple of local artists featuring as special guests. With a 3 PM start time, we'll be in a place to not only have the event but give attendees the opportunity to speak with the artists for a special experience.

Our fundraising gala in January sold out and featured a very diverse crowd. We fully anticipate a great crowd for this free concert event.
Geovante PrestonMy name is Geovante Preston, and I'm the founder and President of "Glory in the Beat." I've been blessed with the task of running an organization, and have made leaps and bounds on our behalf over the past year. Together, my wife and I planned and hosted a gala fundraiser for our organization. The event was a huge success, but not without its hiccups. I've learned from those hiccups, however, and have learned fairly quickly what makes an event successful and enjoyable. I will work tirelessly to ensure that this event is a great experience for everyone involved. Including those gracious enough to partner with us to make it happen.
