About the event
My name is Chenee’ Freeman and I am a native of St. Thomas, USVI. I live in Tallahassee, Florida where I have created a Caribbean focused business called Mas Productions, to rebuild the Caribbean culture and community here in town. The vision of Mas Productions is to bring a sense of Caribbean Community to the Caribbean population of Tallahassee Florida. Tallahassee is the capital of Florida, with two of the nation’s top universities; Florida State University and Florida A&M University. The Caribbean population is vast, however we currently do not have a vessel to bring us together. Many students move here from across the Caribbean and build families as they find that Tallahassee is a beautiful place to call home away from home. I am hosting an event called The Camo Movement in honor of Veteran’s Day. However the event is a “One Love” Caribbean soiree which extends to all adults to promote networking and bridging the gap with our collegiate population. I would like to prayerfully invite sponsors to assist with the event. My hope is to raise enough cultural awareness which will spark interests in a Caribbean Board to focus on cultural needs in this area. Mint Lounge is the most elite club in town which hosts vast events, day and night for the collegiate crowd as well as the grown and established. I am appealing to both age groups, as this soiree is simply to bring everyone together and build a foundation for fellowship. The One Love Launch party is huge, bringing all Caribbean flags together. This is something Tallahassee has not had in years since the 90’s, and something we are desperately in need of. I am hoping your company will support Mas Productions and make this event a huge success, which would be a great stepping stone to one day re-introduce Caribbean Carnival to this area.
