TEDxDesignTechHighSchool is an independently organized, student-run TED event. It occurs at the end of each academic year at the Oracle Conference Center. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxDesignTechHighSchool, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDesignTechHighSchool events, TED Talk videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. TEDxDesignTechHighSchool features speakers from all over the Bay Area, student and non-student alike, to showcase a multitude of different disciplines and ideas and to reach a wider audience.
TEDxDesignTechHighSchool encourages the dissemination of students’ knowledge, passion, and execution of ideas. Sponsoring TEDxDesignTechHighSchool will both help our students’ voices get heard around the world, and inspire all who are involved in the event. We seek to empower our generation and inspire all others.
