About the event

Freedom Mortgage is committed to serving the communities where we work and live. We believe partnering with our local merchants strengthens our connection to those we support. Giving honor to the men and women who selflessly serve our country, is a top priority. So to pay tribute, Freedom Mortgage will be hosting its 5th Annual Freedom Cares 5K. All proceeds from this community event will benefit the local charity Homes for Our Troops and The USO. We anticipate more than 300 participants. We invite you and your employees to be part of this community spirited event:

Cooper River Park, 5300 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, New Jersey

The Freedom Cares 5K event includes a 5K Run / Walk and a 1 Mile Fun Walk. The 5k Run / Walk race will begin at 9:30AM and the 1 Mile Walk will start at 10:00AM.

The USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform for over 75 years. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side. https://www.uso.org/about.

Homes for our Troops builds and donates specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured post 911 veterans to enable them to rebuild their loves.  https://www.hfotusa.org/mission/

I work in HR at Freedom Mortgage and this is my 2nd year assisting in planning this event.

We had a great outcome last year, and donated more than the previous year, as well as had more attendees than the previous year.
