About the event
HFG Happy Families Support Network Inc. (HFG), is a not-for-profit organization that provides free, ongoing support to women and children across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) who have experienced abuse. HFG assists mothers and their children who have experienced abuse, by providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment that facilitates recovery from the abuse.
The Walk Against Domestic Violence is an annual event to raise awareness of the prevalence of domestic violence in our society as well as to raise funds to help support women and children who have experienced abuse as they move towards leading lives free from abuse. This is the third year for this event.
This year, the annual Walk is being held on Sunday May 15, 2016, starting and ending at theHarbourfront Community Centre at 627 Queens Quay West, Toronto, Ontario M5V 3G3. The Walk will take us west along the Martin Goodman Trail, towards our turn-around points for 5 and 7.5 km.
