Swinging for Survivors Charity Golf Tournament,

Rainier Golf and Country Club, Seattle, Washington, United States Rainier Golf and Country Club, Seattle, Washington, United States

  • About the event

Swinging for Survivors is a Charity Golf Tournament, our first one in King County.  We have held golf tournaments in Snohomish County for over 14 years now. The Fallen Officers Remembered organization has hosted this tournament years before and now VSS is taking over to help raise funds for victims that are both law enforcement and the public.  At the tournament we will have a BBQ, shotgun tee off, awards dinner as well as fun contests and games throughout the day.  Most of our players consist of law enforcement officers, prosecutors. lawyers, corporations and community members.  We have more sponsorship opportunities available then what is listed on this site.  Opportunities start at $250 and go all the way up to $10,000. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR MORE INFORMATION REGARDING OUR SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: http://victimsupportservices.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Rainier-GCC-2016-Golf-Sponsor-Opportunity-Form.pdf

    Why should you sponsor?

If you support our event then you support those that are victimized in our community.  Your sponsorship helps us provide one-on-one advocacy, courtroom support, criminal justice system intervention, media intervention, mental health services, support groups, a 24-hour hotline, information, education, awareness, referrals and more.  No one chooses nor do they deserve to be a crime victim and it can happen to any one and once that happens it's traumatizinig and hard and confusing for victims to know what to do next or what's going to happen, that's when VSS steps in.  We help throughout their whole journey and even 20 years later.  We need the support now more than ever, this is a chance for you to give back to an organziation that helps those affected by all the violence in our community.

Victim Support Services (VSS) has been around almost 42 years.  We are a small non-profit located in Washington State that provides direct services to victims of crime in King, Snohomish, Island, Skagit and Whatcom counties. We are the first of our kind in Washington State and one of the first in the nation.  We advocate for those that are hurt or harmed by crime, we are their voice when they can't speak, we hold their hand as they walk through one of their darkest moments of their life, we are Victim Support Services.

VSS helps victims of all crime types except Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault since they have agencies that specialize in those services. We provide support to victims of homicide, attempted homicide, assault, robbery, burglary, identity theft, fraud, arson, kidnapping, property crime, human trafficking, vehicular assault and homicide, adult missing persons, bullying, hate crimes, mass shootings and more.  Some of our services include crisis intervention, courtroom support, criminal justice system advocacy and intervention, media intervention, support groups, mental health services, resources, referrals, information and more.  We also manage the 24 – hour Washington State Crime Victim Service Center Hotline where a victim can speak with an advocate whether it’s 2pm or 2am, help is always available.
