About the event
Summer Sendoff is a launching point for your product or company. Focusing primarily on drawing in an audience of high school and college students aged 16+, Summer Sendoff was a runaway success in 2015 at the inaugural show. Last year’s show featured DFW high school DJs in a display of individual talents that had been fine-tuned over the artist’s short careers. While we did expect to throw a fun party for seniors going to college and others that were interested, the scope of the hype that built up around the show could never have been expected. Through guerrilla street marketing that employed social media and word of mouth, Summer Sendoff blew the doors off the expected attendance. One week prior to the show, the show had sold 800 tickets. By the time doors closed, Summer Sendoff doubled ticket sales to approx. 1600, overselling the venue and having to turn people away at the door.
So why invest?
This year, the goal and scope of the show has changed. While we are sticking to our roots and allowing an outlet for up and coming high school DJs to perform to crowds they never have before, we are also buying some of the hottest DJs in Dallas that are set to blow up within the next 6 months. These artists are the best of the best in the DFW and we want to show them off to a younger audience who may not be 100% into the scene yet. This show aims to expand to double the size of last year, getting more schools and colleges involved, while still providing the amazing atmosphere that differentiates it from other shows. You have the opportunity to get your foot in the door of a show that is likely to be a staple of the Dallas music scene for years to come, and show off your company or product to an excited demographic that is ready and open to new things.
