Event: IFBT Cave Challenge hosted by STL Beach Tennis
The 2015 Cave Challenge marks the 1st IFBT Beach Tennis tournament that is held underground! Players will compete for prizes and IFBT ranking points in a cool 60 degree cave environment. The tournament will take place at Crystal City Underground in Crystal City, MO.

Date: August 8-9, 2015
Professional and Advanced divisions available for Men's Doubles (Saturday), Women's Doubles (Saturday) & Mixed Doubles (Sunday).

About Beach Tennis:
Beach Tennis is a dynamic combination of Tennis, Sand Volleyball & Badminton - it's played on a 16x8 meter sand court with a net that is 5'7". Opponents exchange 1 volley per side until the ball hits the sand, and play a set with no-ad tennis scoring.

The sport (Beach Tennis) has been played for over 35 years, started in Italy. Now there are multiple federations hosting ranking tournaments & clinics for thousands of players of all ages from all over the world - Italy, Brazil, Spain, France, Belgium, Mexico, Aruba, Puerto Rico, the list goes on!

STL Beach Tennis started in 2013 and its mission is to grow popularity of beach tennis through passion for sports, sense of community, and promoting new ways to stay fit and active. The Cave Challenge event will be a critical piece to growing the St. Louis beach tennis community by becoming an annual event that players train for & by attracting attention from local tennis communities and clubs that will help provide dedicated facilities for beach tennis leagues, practice courts, and more frequent local tournaments.
