SPRINTERS TO LAUNCH IN BENGALURU TO SUPPORT MORE FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS IN STARTUPS

Bengaluru, 03.Januar 2016, The three day accelerator SPRINTERS promotes more women in tech. The event takes place from Feb 20 to 22, 2016, in Benagluru. Women will develop an idea into a feasible project to be launched on the last day with a presentation in front of a selected jury. Expert mentors help throughout the development phase.
Filling the tech gender gap
“There is a huge lack of women in tech. During Web Summit only 15% of the visitors were women – and even worst, only three female CEOs were listed on the Summit’s Top 100 Tech CEOs list of attendees. Where is the gender equality? We have to make a difference and bring more women on board”, says founder Mevish Aslam. Together with Co-Founder Saskia Naujok, the two women drum up the tech world to bring these numbers to an all-time high by giving women the opportunity and confidence to bring their skills to the Googles and Facebooks of the future.

Online applications to participate are now open on www.sprinters.co. The space is limited to 50 ambitious women from a variety of professional backgrounds to bring the best of tech and business together. Inspiring international speakers and mentors will guide the teams of up to 5 members through the process of idea and product development and prepare for the pitch in front of a judging panel.Support a global revolution for women!Our goal is introduce 'sprints' globally. After the first Sprinters in Dublin Nov. 2015 during the Web Summit, Bengaluru is second. Coinsiding with another big tech summit in the city (Surge), we will maximise exposure for sponsors.
