About the event

The Spring for livet week encourages seniors aged 60+ to maintain an active lifestyle and relations. 

During the week, sport clubs and exercise communitiesall over Copenhagen  invite seniors to come and be part of their weekly training to gain hands on experience with the different activities, to meet the teams and to gain some great laughs. During this week, all teams that open up their weekly sessions for visitors including the visitors will receive a goodie bag. 

Parallel to the open house events we will conduct 3 virtuel events during the week to reach the seniors that for different reasons incl. covid wont be able to participate in the open house events. These virtuel events will have livesteamed workouts, joint singing sessions and different webinars on senior-relevant topics. 

Why should you sponsor?

This is a particular difficult time for seniors. As they have been forced to limit their social interactions, a lot of them struggle to get back into their routine of keeping active and seeking their local social relations. 

Our event week reminds them of the qualities and importance an active social lifestyle especially in their age. Our open house events will reach 1000 people (if not more), while our virtual events will reach a minimum of the 3000 follower that we have on our facebook-event. 

All sponsors will be thanked on our facebook page as well as during the virtual events. All sponsors will be offered to get a flyer or similar promotional material in the goodiebags.

Spring for livet is hosted by DGI Storkøbenhavn, one of the major sports organisations in Denmark. I am the project manager for Spring for livet and have been so for the past 2 years. 

Spring for livet is supported be a larger partnership that includes the Danish Red Cross, Danske Seniorer, Forum for Mænds Sundhed, Ældresagen mv.
