About the event
The Southwest Horrorfest is El Paso's premier Halloween event like no other. An expected 500 to 1,000 horror fanatics of all ages are anticipated at this years event to enjoy music, food, beverages, local vendors, live entertainment and the citys' epic street skate competition. Local and out of town bands will be taking the stage all day.
The goal of SWHF is greater than simply showcasing local talent. The goal is to create a greater sense of community and encourage more people to explore and celebrate our multi cultural diversity and give back to our commun
ity with local charities as well as national charities.
A portion of our ticket sales, as well as any Halloween candy donations will go to Sweet Alchemy Confectionary Creations. On behalf of owner, Nikki Gonzalez, these candy and monetary donations will go towards providing Halloween treat bags to under privileged children in need, children at the Children's Hospital at Providence, and The Ronald McDonald House. Furthermore, a second portion of ticket sales will go towards The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV). On behalf of one of our event entertainers, Mindy Ortega, the monetary donations will help victims gain resources to make their voices heard. NCADV collaborates with other programs such as; The Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery Program, Remember My Name, Hope and Power for Your Personal Finances, and many others.
The Southwest Horrorfest will be going strong in its second year. Each year, SWHF organizers will collect information and work with the community to help the event grow. By becoming a sponsor, you will have the perfect opportunity to get on the ground floor of an amazing community event.
