About the event
Welcome to the first annual Southern Illinois Cross Country Invitational! We are excited to announce that our race will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). We will start the day with the Women's 5K & 10K races beginning at 9 AM CST, followed by the Men's 5K & 10K races at ?. There will be a 5K Walk shortly after the Men's race. There will be a prize payout for the Top 3 Overall of each event, with the exception of the 5K Walk. The first place in each age group will recieve a medal. All 10K race particiants that complete the race will receve a finisher medal. Online registration begins on July 9th at 12 PM CST. All pre-register race participants are guaranteed an official SICC Invite, long-sleeved race shirt!!! More event information coming soon. Event details and schedule
- Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up will start @ 7 AM CST on November 19th, 2016
- Women's 5K/10K Event begins @ 9 AM CST on November 19th, 2016
- Men's 5K/10K Event begins @ 10 AM CST on November 19th, 2016
- 5K Walk @ 10:30 AM CST on November 19th, 2016
- Course is ran 95% on grass and is very hilly with some rugged terrain. Spikes may be an option, or trail shoes for some.
- Every Pre-Registered participant will be getting a free goodie bag and long sleeved t-shirt!
- There will be on site port-a-potties for your convience.
- Parking will be specified at your arrival.

Our goal is to bring people together and understand the reality of Type 1 Diabetes. We are wanting to raise as much money as possible to give back to The JDRF. They have worked great with me and my family over the years, and friends of our family. Now it's time to give back!
