About the event

"Snatch the mic" is an open mic night event which currently runs on a monthly basis In the city of Nottingham. This music event was set up by a small independent media team called timeline provision who dedicate to music and film working with homegrown and emerging talents. Amongst working and connecting with different music artist from around the UK we wanted to share our collective music projects whilst giving a platform for aspiring music artists to perform live. "Snatch the mic"  is commonly an urban music themed event backed by a live in house band giving developing acts the opportunity to perform alongside a professional music band and gain live experience. With Nottingham being a fast developing music city it came as a shock that very few live urban music talents  were not being showcased due to a lack of awareness of credible open mic events and a lack of provision into supporting the artists's development. 
As often as many open mics "claim" to be welcoming to all genre's of music, there really is not an open mic like "Snatch The Mic" within the east midlands which features a live in house band and dedicates  to the  support of hip hop,jazz,r&b,reggae,and alternative music on a common grass roots level. 

Why should you sponsor?

The most widely recognised achievement for Snatch the mic so far has been its ability to develop an effective means of community engagement and empowerment by giving the urban music community an alternative from just going to a club or a live gig. crowd interaction plays a part in our event and locals see familiar faces connecting more with the event. The local communities  have felt the impact of snatch the mic and the local talent themselves are hoping that an event like this can be displayed on a regular basis. with no other alternative locally,  an area of issue and inequality remains due to:

• Not enough exposure within the city 
• cost effective for the artist to set up there own private event
• lack of local fan base due to under exposure from local media outlets i.e. local magazines and tv stations and live open slots.

snatch the mic eliminates all of these problems.

Our networking with talent across the UK is our strong point as we are able to persuade up and coming talent to our platform with ease. With artists across the UK coming to our event we are very much respected and praised by the talent as well as the audience members. In return our brand is being pushed. to a young demographic and slowly being pushed through social media. we want to increase this and in return our sponsers will be pushed through every platform we go through whether it be radio local, television stations or magazines. Also as part of a media team Snatch The Mic will contune to promote you through film and advertising

Kash Anaman

My name Is Kash Anaman and I work as one half of a team called timeline provision which I independantly started with a passion for visuals and music. I have been film making for 3 years as well as working withing the Nottingham community on various music projects with my co partner and music producer, Adim, of timeline provision. 

We formed "Snatch The Mic" with the mentality of pushing good talent out into a live engaging feild as we witnessed that their were alot of dedicated individuals who were serious about their craft. We as members of the community are also dedicated to seeing people progress and being apart of our team has never been regretable. very humble and honest individuals who prefer the live on hands approach to getting things done.
