SMOKE FREE KOLKATA RALLY 2019 :

Every year on 31st of May, World No Tobacco Day is observed world over to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use. Through this initiative the World Health Organisation (WHO) advocates for effective means to reduce tobacco consumption. 

For the third time on this occasion UDEAS has planned to bring in people together from various sectors to voice the harms caushed by tobacco. On Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 a large rally is being organised in Kolkata where eminent personalities and members of prominent community, Durga Puja Clubs, famous theme makers along with different schools & different social organisation will come together to spread awarness on Tobacco harms and promote the Tobacco Control Laws (COTPA, 2003). 

This rally will be supported by different government and private organisation. Last year we got technical support from Kolkata Police, Kolkata Municipal Corporation and West Bengal Khadi & Village Industries Board.
