About the event
The Singapore Myanmar Exchange (SME) is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to support and develop economic and skill growth between Myanmar and Singapore through educational, artistic, trade and technological ventures.
The film festival is an SME production in association with the Network of Myanmar American Association (NETMAA) whose primary objectives through its programs are to promote the exhibition of independent films and to provide avenues for mutual exchange of talent between Singapore and Myanmar.
Our FestivalThe spirit of the Festival is one of friendship and universal cooperation. Its aim is to reveal and focus attention on works of quality in order to contribute to the evolution of motion picture arts and to encourage development of the film industry between Singapore and Myanmar in particular.
The Festival is a-political and reserves the right to deny entry to the Festival to any submission promoting ethnic, racial, political, religious, and moral defamatory or otherwise messages, or those encouraging violence, prejudice and hatred.
