About the event

Thank you for your interest in partnering with Shark Wake Park and Alliance MultiMedia to create the
North Myrtle Beach Wake Park Open. This event coupled with another successful
California Wake Park Open in 2018 will mark the evolution of 8 years
of successful management and organization of flagship cable events in the
United States for Alliance MultiMedia. Starting in 2010, Alliance and the World
Wakeboard Association launched the Monster Energy Wake Park Triple Crown
series. This was the first professional cable series in North America. In the 6
years that Alliance ran the Triple Crown series, it became the most respected
wake park series in North America with more of the top-rated athletes from
around the world coming to all three events vying for the coveted overall title
than any other series.
Following the success of the Monster Energy Wake Park Triple Crown, in 2017
Alliance MultiMedia launched the inaugural California Wake Park Open. The
event was met with open arms from cable riders from around the world who all
have been asking for a quality and fun event in California for years.
Much like the event series and cable parks over the past 8 years, the formats
and divisions for the Alliance cable events have consistently evolved to match
the current state of wake park riding. For 2017, the California Wake Park Open
incorporated the highest level of amateur wake park competition along with
the best professional male and female riders in the world. This blend brings
the best riders in the world but also includes the best amateurs in the local
community and from around the county, it also creates an incredible family and
community oriented scene.

I am Greg Norman Jr, CEO and Founder of Shark Wake Park. Being the son of Hall of Fame Golfer Greg Norman has allowed me to see the internal working of sport and business for over 30 years. Greg Norman Company has produced 4 PGA Tour events over 20 years. Shark Wake Park's DNA is directly from Greg Norman Company. We have taken everything we learned through Golf Course Design, restaraunt owenrship and management, professional Golf tournament productions, businuess developement and brand awareness and applied it directly the Shark Wake Park.
