About the event
SF Design & Emerging Tech Meetup is excited to host an exciting workshop on scenario planning. Participants will learn and apply new techniques to explore the possible future implications of large platforms such as Amazon, Apple, Google et al.
Matt Ranen is a scenario planning consultant helping clients define the strategic bets that will best prepare them for industry change and disruption. His work explores the broader social, technological, economic, environmental and political context that shapes industries over time—often in surprising directions—and the emerging opportunities and risks that come as a result.
His recent article, “Winner Take All Platforms Won’t Necessarily Win,” speculates on four different scenarios on the future of digital platforms. While most obviously relevant to digitally-native businesses, it also speaks to the strategies that will need to be contemplated in almost every industry as they become more digitally-led.Why should you sponsor?
