About the event
The Texas Tech Ski and Snowboard Competition Team is a co-ed organization of 80 members that gives undergraduate and graduate students at Texas Tech University the opportunity to discover and compete in one of the most exciting sports in the nation while giving back to the Lubbock community through several of our philanthropic events. From beginners to experts, our members are given opportunities to learn from experienced competitors within the organization as we aim to expand and promote the sports of skiing and snowboarding in the state of Texas. In addition, all of our members are presented with the opportunity to compete in competitions around the nation; from amateur events in the USASA, to philanthropic events such as the K2 Bumps Challenge in Taos, NM and lastly, to national, collegiate competitions hosted by the USCSA, which organizes 85% of all snow-sports events. NCAA, division II eligibility rules, governs the USCSA. Our organization allows students to pursue opportunities that were previously unheard of in the state of Texas while proudly promoting our university in states across the nation. The Texas Tech Ski and Snowboard Competition Team proudly presents a new chapter in the Texas Tech Athletics Program.
