    “Sculpt at Kew is a five week outdoor sculpture exhibition in collaboration with Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, which will run from 9th sept -15th Oct 2017. The exhibition provides a unique opportunity for UK based sculptors and artists to show and sell their work in the beautiful natural surroundings of London’s iconic Kew Gardens.”

    Handmade in Britain is regarded by exhibitors and visitors as one of the leading organisers of selling events in the UK Contemporary Craft calendar. With annual visitor figures exceeding 15,000, Handmade in Britain events are an essential highlight of the UK’s craft & art portfolio for designer-makers, collectors, industry professionals and design enthusiasts.

    Handmade in Britain was established over 10 years ago by Piyush Suri, an engineer turned designer who is passionate about championing everything handmade. After working for several years in the industry, he built an initiative to support and promote designer-makers who create their work in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. For over a decade we have provided a platform of support and promotion for design and craft talent through fairs, events and pop-ups alongside workshops and business mentoring. We work hard to increase accessibility, create new market opportunities and maintain high standards in the contemporary craft sector whilst providing a comprehensive support programme for new graduates and up-coming design talent. We’re continuing to grow and expand, raising our profile within the sector and beyond.

    Piyush Suri : Founder and Creative Director 

    Piyush is also a  consultant and mentor for many new creative businesses. In 2014, he was hired to curate and launch CRAFT,  TOP DRAWER, the landmark trade show for contemporary design organised by Clarion Events, which is now in its 4th year. Previously, Piyush has been on the Jury for the World Interiors News Annual Awards and was a judge on the BBC2 programme Paul Martin’s Handmade Revolution in 2012.

    Madeleine Heimers : Operations director

    With over 30 years experience working in the events industry, Madeleine is responsible for all operational tasks for our events including Site Management, Stand construction, Traffic management, Security, Registration services, Floor management etc.

    Sarah Ward : PR, marketing and events manager

    Sarah brings over 5 years of experience working across the arts to manage our PR & Marketing campaigns and coordinate all event communications. She's responsible for media relations and managing our Media Partnerships & Sponsorship

    Tolani Moibi :  Sales and business development manager

    With a background in sales and digital marketing, Tolani is our Sales and Business Development Manager. A hybrid of relationship building and selling, she is responsible for artists and organisations’ relations and managing  our  sales portfolio. 

    Jacqui Rudd : Sales and events coordinator

    With a back ground of fine arts and crafts, Jacqui is responsible for sales and co-ordinating our different events.

    Mehmet Akduman : Graphic designer 

    Mehmet is responsible for all design related tasks creating event magazines and all promotional material.

    Handmade in Britain is an ambitious and ever-expanding brand; we are continuously researching and developing fresh opportunities in the world of contemporary craft and design. With a passion for handmade, we seek new ways to promote the work of talented makers, designers and craftspeople and reach new audiences. Forging new collaborations with like-minded brands, partners and supporters is key to the continuing success and development of our events.

    We are always looking to the future by growing our annual events programme and raising our profile within the sector and beyond. Besides, SCULPT At KEW,  We are currently developing a new international contemporary craft and design  event to be launched in Lyon, France in november 2018 - Handmade Lyon
