About the event
Scopes is a national technical gathering of a student chapter IEEE-PES
(Power and Energy Society) which mainly focusses on spreading awareness about advancements in technology needed for conservation, improvement of student faculty interaction providing the industrial interface to the technical concepts.
Scopes is symposium on conservation of power energy and smart grid which is hosted in VIT University.
We call speakers from IBM, Bosch, Schneider Epectric. Anna University, IIT Madras, IISc Banglore, etc.
Different students from different colleges and universities of south india come and participate in the events in addition to VIT students.
We conduct MUN on Energy topics like Green Globe, Conservation of power and energy and Campaign on energy conservation.
We conduct guest lectures on nanotechnology, robotics, mobile computing, enterpreneurship, ethical hacking and green architechture.
We conduct project expo, students showcase their projects on themes of Vision Robotics, energy consumption , etc.
SCOPES, IEEE-PES has laso organised Robotryst and NPL(National Porgramming League) in previous years with NIT's, IIT's.
