About the event
As the event title suggests, I will be running the London Marathon in April of next year.
Running the marathon does not only mean satisfying one of my personal life goals, but it means contributing to a cause which I myself have been a victim of during my childhood: asthma. Having difficulties breathing is by no means an exciting experience, let alone having to make sure that every mattress or sofa I sit on is not made of feathers or going to the doctor every fortnight to undergo tests to ensure that my breathing improved with medication. I am fortunate to be relatively cured from asthma, as long as I take necessary minimal precautions, but there are some people that are not.
For somebody with asthma, running a marathon is a seemingly impossible to experience; quite frankly, if our cheeks puff at the sight of feathers and dust, I am not quite sure what would happen at the sight of thousands of fluorescent vests on a (hopefully) dry and (hopefully) not so cold morning in the British spring ready to run an entire marathon. I want to show these people that it can be done, that they can be cured from asthma, that they can consequently finish an arduous 42 kilometer run.
However, I cannot do this without your vital support, and would be very interested in acquiring sponsorships for the race. I have been running for approximately five years now continuously, and I am aiming for a time of approximately 3 hours and a half to four hours. In order to make your sponsorship worthwile, I am willing to discuss different methods to promote my sponsors, ie. printing your logo on my running shirt, advertising your products and/or services, etc...

As the sponsorship package suggests, I will be willing to print your business's logo on my running shirt during the Marathon race to promote your business. I will ensure that pictures are taken and posted online in order to emphasize the logo, and any posts including the logo on the shirt will have social networking links (such as hashtags) to connect your business.
