About the event

The Run4Care 5k/10k Rrun & family fun festival mission is to raise money for the care of women who are facing one of the 4 top health issues: Heart Disease, Breast Cancer, Stroke and Diabetes.

Millions of women are diagnosed with these 4 life threatening illness every year and incur huge medical and hospital expenses. They often need assistance with insurance co-­‐payments, treatment-­‐related travel, meals, lodging and basic living expenses, but are too afraid or embarrassed to ask their friends or family for help.

Through the Run4Care 5k/10k, runners or event participants can raise money for women they know or do not know who are facing one of these 4 challenging health issues. They can also donate money to a treatment facility or non-profit organization that provides free health care services.

Run4Care is a small, but mighty team of givers and a couple of feisty breast cancer survivors who are committed to helping women get the financial and psychological care they need to thrive and survive the big 4: Breast Cancer, Heart Disease, Stroke and Diabetes.  

The mission of the Run4Care 5k/10k & family festival and our charity partners is to raise funds to help women dealing with the “big 4” who need assistance with health services and screenings, emotional support, insurance information, treatment-related travel, meals, lodging, medical and basic living expenses.  

While the goal of many organizations is to raise money for research or a cure for the big 4, we believe it is also important to help women right now who are dealing with these healthcare challenges! 

Some women are often too afraid or embarrassed to tell their friends or family that they are ill and in need so we want to help them financially and offer support through Run4Care. By asking friends, family and co-workers to participate in Run4Care and fundraise money, you can save the life of an individual, friend or loved one.
