About the event
2016 was an exciting year of momentum for Exploit No More. Last year, Run for Home 2016 was able to issue a check for $15,600 to the non-profit, enabling them to move forward in their fight against child sex-trafficking in the Greater Milwaukee area. Along with hiring a new Executive Director, Jarrett Luckett, ENM was able to purchase a home in the fall of 2016!
ENM is currently working with the State of Wisconsin to comply with the state requirements for an aftercare program, which means home renovations and hiring staff. Sponsorships will make it possible for the home to be open by the end of 2017, becoming the first place in Wisconsin for child survivors to heal after being trafficked.
The Run for Home committee is currently meeting and planning for the 4th annual 5k run/walk. This year, we will have a total of three sites – Frame Park in Waukesha, Brooklife Church in Mukwonago and Greenfield Park in MKE. On May 20th, we will be running and walking in unity against child trafficking. We would love for you to join with us.
Why should you sponsor?
Run for Home 2017 at three different locations across MKE allows for your sponsorship to have three times the reach. Every participant and volunteer will be wearing your logo. Last year we had 600 participants and volunteers, this year our goal is 1,000! It takes all of our efforts to get the home renovated, staffed and maintained so the girls can be safe, cared for and restored. Exploit No More receives multiple calls every week from individuals, healthcare providers, and law enforcement who are trying to help victims of sex trafficking. Housing is one of the key needs to help victims. We can come together in power and unity to fight trafficking.
