About the event
Given the growing success of the charity concert "Rock Against Cancer" since 2013, Swiss Life has decided to voluntarily organise this wonderful experience again.
As in previous years, all profits from the concert will be donated to two Luxembourg foundations active in the fight against cancer, the Fondation Cancer and the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner.
In the 2015 edition, we distributed over 3,000 flyers, sold more than 1,000 raffle tickets, were pleased to welcome more than 400 people and received the support from many sponsors and the media. This initiative allowed us to donate a total amount of € 24,000 to both foundations.
We want to give more breadth to this event by attracting more people to raise more funds for both associations. In this respect, we have decided to organise the 2016 edition on the theme of the 80’s, headlining with the Scottish singer Midge Ure (Ultravox's voice, Visage’s keyboard, co-founder of the Band Aid...), and also The Noisemakers - a cover band and DJ Deniz Labong.
