About the event

The Rickshaw Run is a 3,500km pan-Indian adventure in a 7 horsepower glorified lawnmower. The Rickshaw Run is easily the least sensible thing to do with two weeks.

Loud, uncomfortable, prone to breaking down a lot and completely useless at protecting you from the elements, rickshaws are undoubtedly the ultimate long distance, off-road machine. Despite being designed for short distances, on road. Possibly the least suitable vehicle on the planet for covering the entire subcontinent in two weeks. 

On the first day of 2016 I will hop into a motorized rickshaw and drive 2700 km along with 6 other close friends who are just as crazy as I am.

Together, we will sputter and stall our way from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan in northern India to Cochin, Kerala in southern India. If our rickshaw breaks down, we’re responsible for fixing it. If we get lost, we’re responsible for finding our way again. The Rickshaw Run is an unsupported event. There’s a start and a finish. Everything that happens in between is wide open and completely up to us.

If you own a small or large business we invite you to sponsor our team. Sponsorship is a great way for your business to gain exposure across multiple websites. All sponsors will have their logos and links placed on our website. There is two packages - Gold and Platinum. You can see the details of these under the "Packages" section.

In addition, the primary sponsor will have their logo painted on the team vehicle, which will cover 2,700km of one of the most populated countries on Earth! Not to mention feature on YouTube videos and other media coverage of the event, such as The Adventurists official website.
