About the event
International sports tournament for Medieval Full Contact Martial Arts Combat. We have over 8 national teams participating in this exclusive sport event in Luxembourg.
The sport itself exists under different names, mostly as HMB (Historical Medieval Battle) or Medieval Full Contact Combat.
It is a rapidly growing sport with several international federations promoting it and hosting tournaments and world championships. M-1, Organizer of MMA tournaments recently has even launched an exclusive line of events for Medieval Full Contact Combat tournaments as the main act.
The Red Lion Challenge is an international sports tournament in Luxembourg with over 50 athletes (both men and women) participating in the duels categories and Profights. This year it will be the third edition and we can say, that it is a growing event with people participating from countries such as France, Germany, England, Scotland, Russia, USA and more.
That is also why we want to give it a more and more proffessional look. The first event was held in a gym but was rather small (28 athletes for 1vs1 category). The second one took place during a medieval market. However this year, we want to promote it purely as a sports event so it will take place in a gym where we will construct an arena suitable for this kind of sport.
To this date, the Red Lion Challenge is also the biggest tournament worldwide for female athletes (except World Championship)Why should you sponsor?
