    The Red Carpet Charity Ball: Mothers Day Edition has a main focus on the widows here in the U.S and back in Africa who also need to be remembered of what a great mother they are to their children.

    I was crowned Miss Ghana USA 2015 late July in New York City. After my crowning, I was given the opportunity to go to Ghana, Africa to work on my platform. Widows are never losers and I strongly believe that. I believe that when your husband dies, that doesn't mean to quit in life. It simply means you have to work a little bit harder to provide for your children but that doesn't mean you have to do it alone.

    I decided to get connected with top people in Ghana in order to make my dreams come true. I traveled to two major cities (Accra, Kumasi) to meet widows and to speak at youth seminars that were happening during my three week stay. I had five radio station interviews and two television interviews to help me get my platform across.I was able to succeed in getting my vision out there to the country because I received great feedback.

     Now, as the new U.S ambassador for the African Widows and Disabled Foundation located in Accra, Ghana my goal is to help widows become a better them. I want them to be able to rise up again on their feet to start a small business in order to fund for themselves and children. I would also like for them to have a counseling session where they are able to release emotions, stress and confusion.

This mothers day event is for these women to enjoy, eat, laugh and have fun. The donations that are also received will be sent to help the less fortunate widows in Ghana.Thank you for the endless support!
