About the event

On July 17, 2016 Recognize HER, a movement created to acknowledge empowered and influential women launched in true Miami style with a Cuban themed fashion show closing out Miami Swim Week.

Recognize HIM and HER is the second annual event held during Miami Swim Week in 2017 and this time will feature inspiring men and women entrepreneurs. 

The event will take place July 16, 2017 5-9pm at Armando Records in Miami, FL.

The audience and target market will be creative and inspired 18-35 year olds. All tech savvy.

We will have vendors, food trucks, open space, live music by amazing local artists who have a following and streams on platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify, as well as special guest influencers, models, and more.

Why should you sponsor?

Eventually, through raising funds with the Recognize HER event such as these, we are growing this movement into a foundation that one day will include creating programs encouraging and motivating young girls to follow their dreams and that nothing is out of their reach. The Recognize HER foundation will strive to award students with scholarships, donate to education in the arts, and create a network of young women who have the same vision for the world; that no little girl will grow up doubting her abilities. That she can be whoever she wants to be. The Recognize HER foundation would provide role models and mentors for young women that are relatable and with open arms to instill knowledge and encouragement.

Janessa Cuba

With goals for the movement to become much more, founder and Miami local Janessa Cuba was motivated to shed light on women who work hard every day at making their dreams a reality- something she can relate to as well. After resigning from a management position and putting a Hospitality and Tourism Management degree on hold, Cuba felt it was time to dedicate herself to her passion- not what society deemed safe. 

 

Janessa works as a creative consultant offering services to clients such as: management, brand development, production, events, and more.
