About the event

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and especially the survivors of sexual violence, I am writing to request your participation as a sponsor for our biggest fundraising event of the year –Soirée in the City, which will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Revel Downtown. Since 1974, Rape Victim Advocates has provided comprehensive services to sexual assault survivors and their loved ones. In 2014, we helped over 1,800 survivors on their healing journey and thousands more through our education and training services.

Dollars raised from this event will support RVA’s crisis intervention, medical and legal advocacy services, individual and group counseling and support groups. Your support will also enable us to continue to provide sexual violence prevention education and training to elementary, high school and college students and to medical, education and law enforcement professionals.

Soirée in the City will be attended by more than 300 guests from the Chicago area. Our special evening features delectable hors d’oeuvres and desserts, as well as refreshing drinks, an amazing silent auction with a wide array of experiences and wonderful packages and a compelling program. Dr. Beth E. Richie will be this year’s Dr. Natalie A. Stephens Visionary Award Recipient.
