About the event

 Hi Everyone, my name is Darby Watson and I am Randy Britton's oldest grandchild. For those of you who didn't get a chance to meet my Papa I just wanted to let you know a few things so you can understand the type of man he was. My Papa loved people, loved helping people, making people laugh, anything he could do to put a smile on someones face he did it. After losing Papa on September 6, 2017 I constantly think about what I can do to make him proud. I was lucky enough to have such an amazing role model in my life for 22 years and if I can be half the person he was I will consider myself extremely lucky. With all that being said my mission is to try and make a difference while doing something he loved - playing ball. My Papa did everything in his power to make a difference in as many lives as he could and even though he is no longer with us I plan to continue his generosity through the Randy Britton Memorial Tournament. In 2012, Papa met a man who was also named Randy that worked at the resort he and my grandma were staying at in Mexico. In no time at all Randy became a member of our family. Since that time Papa brought Randy to visit Canada twice, sponsored a kids soccer team and supplied them with brand new uniforms and purchased a projector for the school in El Colomo. Before my Papa passed he was in the process of building a house for Randy's mother. My goal is to make sure that house gets finished. My Papa never left anything unfinished so I plan on completing his final project. In true Papa fashion all of the money made in the tournament will go to my Papa's adopted family in Mexico. Please help me finish what he started!

My name is Darby Watson and I am Randy Britton's oldest grandchild. I am the creater and organizer of the Randy Britton Memorial Tournament. My goal in life is the make the most of my time while I have it, like my Papa did. Everything I do now is for him and to make him proud. All I want is to finish this project that he set out to do.
