About the event

Qween Sh!t Vol 1 was founded to create a welcoming, safe, and creative environment for femme movement artists in the Hip Hop dance scene. By coordinating a recurring event, Qween Sh!t will provide the space for representation, feminine expression, and women empowerment.

Why should you sponsor?

A sponsor should support my event because this has been an ongoing topic and conversation in the Chicagoland dance scene and that representations needs to be represented! There are many young girls who need to see themselves in older dancers entering battle and being confident and comfortable in a male domintaed scene. This could be your daughter or neice who wants to step out of their comfort zone and accepted into those spaces.

Taraja Echols

My name is Taraja Echols, I am a recent graduate of Columbia College Chicago majoring in dance and a minor in HipHop studies. I am located in the Chicagoland area and I currently am working on a new endeavor where I am trying to curate dance events.
