About the event

Prometheus is our flagship event and the biggest Computer Science fest of Manipal. It is arguably one of the most anticipated events of the even semester, following Revels, the cultural fest of MIT. Last year, due to the outbreak of Covid-19, we had to move this technical extravaganza online and the various events of the fest were held from 28th April to 18th May, 2020.

We successfully conducted six online events, each of them unique in their own way. Despite being an online event, we witnessed 1500+ participants fighting tooth and nail to come out on top. The events had multiple rounds, filtering the participants to ensure only the best teams emerge victorious.

Established in 1957, MIT, Manipal, is one of the oldest engineering colleges in the country. MIT focuses on all-round development while exploring the latest advancements in science and technology. With state-of-the-art technology, experienced faculty members and a homely hostel, MIT provides an ideal learning platform for students. The institute is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certified.

MIT offers a Bachelors' and a Masters program in engineering streams. It also offers students the option to carry out full-time or part-time research.

• Established in 2007, IECSE has been responsible for a plethora of workshops which have helped thousands of students obtain technical knowledge and gain exposure to the latest industry-grade technology.
• IECSE also conducts career-related talks about the placement and internship processes for the undergraduate student body. The IECSE alumni network aids its members by connecting them to individuals who have worked in the industry, to guide and help them out with the difficulties they may face in the professional world.
• IECSE is one of the few technical clubs on campus to have its own category, Cryptoss, in Tech Tatva, MIT's technical fest.
• Cryptoss is the most widely participated event in TechTatva and gets participation from MIT as well as from around the globe through its online events.
• IECSE is the official campus chapter of CodeChef, GeeksforGeeks, HackerRank, GitHub and HackerEarth. IECSE is also the official campus ambassador for Dribbble, an online community for graphic designers.
• IECSE also has a tie-up with Developer Student Clubs, which provides a network for people who are interested in Google's various developer technologies and also love the spirit of sharing
